I felt as though I needed to provide an explanation as to why I have not updated our blog in over a month (Yes, I said a month). After weeks and weeks of ignoring the daily *reminder* message (ie. memory is low, please free up more available space) that was popping up on our computer, I managed to temporarily crash our fairly new Mac Book Pro (yikes!). Even though I was being reminded on a daily basis that our available memory was low, I continued to upload pictures on our computer until about a month ago when I was uploading Rykers' 2 year old professional photos and the computer just went black. We didn't know the real cause of the crash until we visited the genius bar at the Apple Store (ok, I may have had an idea.........ie...to many photos but I wasn't gonna fess up to being the cause until proven guilty), and the IT helper reported that we had 15,000+ photos (apparently this is possible) uploaded and stored in our iphoto library (GUILTY)!!! She then asked me nicely if I had received any messages reporting that the available memory on our computer was running low (Seriously, did I have to answer this question!?). Yes, I did come clean and admit that I may have received some messages reporting to me that the available memory was low, she just smiled at me (Kris, on the other hand was not smiling at all) and then hooked up our computer to another computer and safely transferred all 15,000+ photos to an external hard drive (I owe the genius bar at the Apple Store a huge thank you!). I confess that I may be a little crazy with the photos but he is growing up so fast and I just want to capture every second of it:) So, I am back up and running and plan to post updates as to what we have been doing over the last month including Rykers' 2nd Birthday!!!
