DRiVe iN MoVie---FeAtUriNg RyKeR's 2nD BiRtHdAy

I am so sad that I am just now getting the opportunity to share the photos from Rykers' 2nd birthday party with all of you! His birthday party was over a month and a half ago already, but the party was just 2 cute to not share it with those of you who couldn't make it. So, a little information behind the theme; after much thought we decided to do a "Drive in Movie" themed party and incorporate Rykers' favorite movie at the time "Toy Story"! As you can see from the picture above we did a showing at "2"pm, showed the movie Toy Story "2", which was also rated PG "2".
Above is a picture of his Toy Story cupcake cake (such a great idea and very easy to serve).
All the kiddo's got to take home their very own "Bullseye"! Thanks to my very good friend Lindsay (she is AMAZING when it comes to sewing), and my mom we put together/made 13 stick horses for all of Rykers' friends to take home with them (this was a huge hit!).
This is a picture of the fun little Photo Booth I put together for those that wanted to participate ;)
Concession Stand for the Drive in Movie!
Supplied with freshly popped popcorn and candy!
We used Dave and Jeanie's heated barn for the 2nd year in a row, and turned it into a Drive in Theater (Petesch Drive in Theater).
We served pizza from Pizza Planet (from the first Toy Story) and provided a nacho bar. The homemade cars for the Drive In....
We used a projector and projected the movie on the barn door :)
It turned out super cute!
Ryker with his best bud Reece (Reece is Sharon's soon to be nephew).

We had Rykers' party the last weekend in October with hopes for nice weather and we were blessed with our request. The weather was gorgeous that day, which in turn allowed the kiddo's to enjoy some fresh air, running around, and................
LEAVES!
The kiddo's went back and forth between the movie and being outside all afternoon. So, we just kept the movie going and they would all hop in their cars for a bit and then head back outside.

People always say that Sharon and I look so much a like and I never thought so until this picture.
BIRTHDAY CAKE TIME!

I have to admit after last year I was kind of nervous as to how this part would go but as you can see from the picture above = success!

Just a real quick picture of Kris and I with the Birthday Boy!
As you can see from the picture above, Ryker got a little nervous when we sang Happy Birthday to him (hence, fingers in mouth), but no tears this year so YAY!
Trying to blow out the candles!
We have the pickiest eater in the world, but he has a sweet tooth like nothing else!
Look at that belly :)
Taking a movie break after all that cake :)
Ryker has loved Reece since the first day they met! They have a lot of the same interest (mostly sports related) and play very well together.
What a CuTeE!
Seeing as how the weather was so nice, Uncle Jay brought out the dirt bike that he got for Landon (Ryker likes to think it is his), and my "Drive in Movie" themed party turned into a "Motor Cross" party :) All of Ryker's buddies got a ride on the dirt bike (parent permitting) and of coarse this was a huge hit for the kids and adults.
Please ignore me in this picture, but I love how Ryker is so patiently waiting for his next turn (he looks like such a big boy in this picture). Ryker loves Landon's dirt bike and ask for dada or Uncle Jay to give him a ride on it every time we go over to their house.
Ryker and his Uncle Larry!
Layla's turn!
That smile lets him get away with murder!
Stealing a kiss from his Mimi :)
Uncle Jay giving Titi some real fast instructions on how to operate the dirt bike.
Love this picture!!!
Ryker getting another ride from his Uncle Jay :)
Ryker and his Titi.
PRESENT TIME!

Ryker did a great job opening his gifts this year and the expressions on his face was priceless.

Getting lots of help from his buddy Reece.
Titi got him a Toy Story birthday card that played music (he still has this and plays with it on a daily basis).

All the boys loved this gift!
Ryker's handmade birthday card from his best bud Mason!
Loving his Buzz Lightyear action figure.

Please enjoy the photos below from the Photo Booth!

Pumy and Titi
The Hamel Family (Brody, Kayte and Mason)
Papa and Mimi Urban
The Janisch Family (Ryan, Layla, Kristin and Grady)
Papa and Gram Rissman
The Farr Family (Justin, Landon and Tiff)
The Rissman Clan!

After the party the Birthday Boy really wanted his bounce house blown up so we went home and did just that!

He jumped his little heart out until............
He passed out with Mimi :) Not really, he is just pretending in the picture above, but he really did ask to go to bed that night and went down with no probem!

Thanks to everyone again for coming out and helping us celebreate Ryker turining 2!

And...another huge thank you to everyone that helped me put it together!
