Halloween 2011 was filled with family, friends and a ton of candy (we wouldn't of had it any other way)! While Ryker and I patiently waited for Kris to get off work, we headed over to the Hamel's house to do some early trick or treating with Ryker's best bud Mason. Above is a picture of the boys right before we headed out. To the left is Buzz Lightyear (Ryker) and to the right is a very friendly dinosaur (Mason).
One of Kayte's neighbors goes all out for Halloween and she actually opens up a candy shop for the trick or treaters in her garage (very neat idea). Above is a picture of Ryker picking out 2 big sized candies from the candy shop (can you believe that she let each trick or treater pick 2?!)
Mason and Ryker were both so excited and did such a great job. With the coaching from Brody (Mason's dad) the boys would ring the door bell and both say "treat!" and than "thank you!".
Holding hands as they run to the next house (does it get any cuter than this?!).
What a difference a year makes! Last year we took Ryker out to just a couple of houses around our neighborhood and had to carry him the entire time and say "trick or treat" for him, this year as you can see from the picture above he functioned very independently and knew exactly what to say and do (kills me how big he is getting!).
Ryker's trick or treating bag was about as big as he is, but it didn't slow him down one bit, he would just toss the handles over his shoulder like a purse and run to the next house.
Once Kris got home we headed over to Auntie Tiff's and Uncle J's house to go trick or treating around Landon's neighborhood. Above is a picture of Ryker and Landon holding hands and being adorable as usual!
Ryker got a spacial surprise when his best girlfriend Layla arrived to do some trick or treating with us. Our very good friends Ryan and Kristin joined us for some trick or treating fun and the kiddo's had a blast. Above is a picture of Layla (Cinderella), Ryker (Buzz) and Landon (Scarecrow).
We made one big circle around Auntie Tiff's and Uncle J's subdivision and finished just as the sun went down. Ryker was tuckered out and Kris had to carry him the last block home (all that running is exhausting)!
And.......one last photo before the pizza arrived:)
We are so glad that we got the opportunity to spend Halloween 2011 with our friends and family and look forward to next year.
