Ryker has been in and out of tumbling since he was 18 months old. The class is adorable and the coach (Coach Tina) is amazing! It's a parent-tot class (until he is 3 years old), that encourages them to climb, hop, roll, walk on beams, grasp and swing on bars and teaches them how to do somersaults. Along with this they get the opportunity to jump on the trampolines and into their in-ground foam pit. Coach Tina sets up stations (very similar to an obstacle course) that keeps the kids busy and moving. This class has been so good for Ryker's motor skills and allows him to challenge himself with coordination and balance. He finds it thoroughly entertaining because it allows the monkey in him to come out. Above is a picture of Ryker crawling though one of the tunnels.
Somersault time!
Just hanging around :)
Working on his coordination and balance with one of his best buds Preston.
Coach Tina is great with Ryker and is always pushing him to try new things. You can't see her in the photo (she's under the beam), but Ryker is actually standing on a beam that she helped him swing up and onto (Ryker really trusts her).
Coach Tina assisting Ryker on the balance beam. He can actually do this all by himself but I think she was a little nervous that I wasn't standing right next to him.
Half cartwheel off the beam.
At this station they have to jump across on the colors and finish with a somersault.
Quite the gymnastic!
Just a friendly wave "hi" on the trampoline!
Foam pit time (this may be his favorite part!)!

Loves to swing on the bars and then fall into the foam pit.
And..........stamp time.
At the end of each class, coach Tina gives all the kiddos a stamp on their hands and feet for doing a job well done (these stamps have caused quite the up stir in our bathing routine, I'm sure you can take one guess as to why?).
