CaN iT rEaLLy bE TrUe?!

Can it really be true that my baby is more than half way to being the big "3"!?

I can hardly wrap my mind around how fast the last 2.5 years of my life has gone by. Time really does fly when your having fun, and fun is exactly what Ryker has brought to our lives. This sweet little boy fills our days with so much joy and excitement and Kris and I couldn't be any happier that we have him to shower with love each and every day. He is growing by leaps and bounds and his vocabulary has exploded into a whole new level! The things that come out of his mouth on a daily basis have us dying with laughter and fill our hearts with amusement.

So........what has Ryker been up to lately?

He is still very involved with a ton of activities within our community, t-ball, soccer, tumbling, swim lessons, story time, music class....ect (more post to come to better capture these). In between activities we have spent most of our Summer days at the pool (Kris surprised us with a membership to the Country Club) and when the days are not as hot we do park time with picnic lunches (life really doesn't get much better for this peanut). Ryker was recently at the doctor for an ear infection and weighed in at 30 pounds and 3 feet tall. He is sleeping the best he has every slept, taking 2.5-3.5 hour naps and sleeping through the night (on most nights ;)). He is still my picky little eater, however as long as I continue to rotate his 5 favorite meals he eats really well. My negotiation skills are still challenged on a daily basis and he has a rational for everything (he keeps me on his toes, but I love it). I feel that he is very close to being ready to potty train (definitely thought this would be something we would have accomplished by now) and we will be moving him into a big boy bed in the next couple of weeks (this is so hard for me to part with seeing as how he has been sleeping so well). He still continues to go to my mom's 3 days a week while I work and is starting to get excited about the idea of preschool (he unfortunately will miss the cutoff to start this year due to his 3rd birthday being after September 1st).
