This picture melts my heart!
There is nothing in the world that makes Ryker happier than some daddy and me time. A few weeks back Ryker spotted the neighbor girl fishing in the pond across the street from our house, and since than has been begging Kris and I to take him fishing. So, of coarse this was his request when asked how he wanted to spend his day with daddy (too cute!). Before any fishing could take place we had to make a real fast Target stop for Ryker to pick out his very own fishing pole, and to our surprise he reached right past the Toy Story and Cars fishing pole and grabbed a spider man one (just when you think you know your child ;)). Once he got that fishing pole in his hand, he took off for the first check out lane with huge anticipation to get home and catch himself a fish.

Kris and I were actually quite surprised at how patient he was. While we eagerly waited for that first fish to come grab our worm we had lots of fish talk. Ryker was very interested in the fish and what they eat and why we try to catch them.......ect (it made for very interesting conversation!).
He loved reeling it in and casting it out (this may have been why we didn't catch a fish ;))!
And.......walking back after a great afternoon of fishing!
