FiELd MuSeUm

2 weekends ago we headed into the city to help Andy and Erin celebrate their wedding weekend (which was amazing by the way). Auntie Sharon (ti ti) and Puma where nice enough to give up their weekend to watch Ryker, which I think turned out to be in his favor. Ryker had a weekend filled with fun while ti ti and puma had him (can I say spoiled), and I got to join in for one of the events Saturday morning before I had to get ready for the wedding. Ti ti had the idea to take Ryker to the Field Museum which was a seller in 2 ways for our little monkey; 1) he got to ride the Choo Choo into the city and 2) he got to have a fun morning hanging out with dinosaurs and learning about different cultures. Above is a picture of Ryker and I in front of REX!
Ryker had a good time visiting all the different cultures and loved that the Museum offered a lot of hands on displays which he found very fun and interesting.

Above is a picture of ti ti and Ryker in front of a very old jukebox.

Feeling and learning about bones :)
Looking into REX's mouth!
In the lower level of the Museum, they have a children's center for the kiddo's. The center is there to help the kids learn about history through touch and play (Ryker loved this area)!
In a hut, making lunch for ti ti and me.
Above is a picture of Ryker at one of his favorite stations. Fossil searching.....at this station they had to brush away sand to find fossils (very neat)!

And....looking at fossil imprints. At this station, they had to use a crayon to color over a fossil to find that an imprint of the fossil will appear on the paper (this turned out to be a very cute souvenir too)!

What a great morning, the Field Museum turned out to be a great idea on ti ti's part.....thanks ti ti!
