MiNi SeSsiOn

Ryker and I set out this past Wednesday for a little mini session around our subdivision. With the weather being so gorgeous this past week, I couldn't resist not to get some new up to date pictures of our little monkey. Ryker was in such a silly mood, and he made it very easy and fun for me to capture some cute pictures of him at 21 months old.
Here are some real fast updates on Ryker at 21 months old. He was recently at the doctor's office and weighs 25 pounds 2 ounces, is wearing 12-18 month clothing, is talking up a storm and linking 3 words together (his vocabulary has picked up so much in just the last 2 weeks), and asks "what's this?" all the time (he is very curious and I love it)! He is such a BOY, he loves to climb/crawl up and through anything he can get away with, is fascinated with jumping and still holds a strong obsession for trucks/tractor/cars and trains. He is new found passion/challenge is baseball!! He can now hit a baseball that is pitched to him without a tee and loves the attention he gets when we all cheer him on while batting. Auntie ("Deetee") and Puma got him his first catcher's glove and he loves to play catch with it and actually does really well. He has amazed me that he understands the concept to swing at a ball pitched to him or catch a ball with a glove that is thrown at him (like I said he loves a good challenge). We have spent much of our Summer outside doing a ton of pool (he now cannon balls into the pool) and park time. From the second he wakes up till the time we put him to bed we are outside playing and Ryker would not have it any other way. We did do a trail run with potty training about 2 weeks ago and Ryker did great with the potty training part, but has a huge fear of pooping in the potty (help!?). So, because of this we have taken the pressure off and will reattempt again in a month or two as he gets closer to turning 2. He is still sleeping through the night, although we had a rough week last week, he has finally got himself back on track the last 2 nights (thank god!). He is still in swim lessons and will be starting a Mother's Day Out program in September that is 2 days a week from 9am-11:30am. I had been looking for something that I could get him in, since he is home with me or my mom all week long that would provide education and allow him some socializing time with other toddlers. I have heard wonderful things about this program so I am very eager for it to start and will update you all on how he does. I love the little personality he is developing and he is such a kind/sweet spirited little boy and just loves to be silly! He has made Kris and I so proud and we absolutely love him to pieces! Well, that's a little more than a fast update but please enjoy the pictures below!

That pretty much sums up our little peanut at 21 months!
Hope everyone has a great weekend :)
