EaStEr EgGs

I'm a little late on the Easter posts but I just had to get these pictures up for everyone to see because they were to cute to pass on. Dying eggs with Ryker this year was a bit chaotic, (he is extremely independent and had to do everything all by himself!). Kris and I just kinda threw our hands up on trying to keep the mess confined and let the little monkey get messing and have fun. He was very creative this year as you can see from the picture above and his colors turned out very vibrant. Please enjoy the pictures below :)
Out of all the colors we had ready for Ryker he picked the cup with the green dye to color his first egg. This didn't surprise me seeing as how he will pick green over any other color 99% of the time, (I think he may have a favorite color). I love the little grin on his face in this picture.

Yes, Ryker chose to use his hand instead of a spoon to pull the eggs out of the dye (there was no talking him out of this!).

And...even when we did happen to get the egg out with the spoon, Ryker had to grab it right away to anyway to check it out (too funny)! We heard lots of "wows" while dying the eggs.
He was so inpatient (totally what I expected), as soon as he would drop the egg in he would have to stick his hand in right away and pull it out to see if it had any other yet. Kris and I had to keep reminding his that we had to wait a couple of minutes before the dye would take but come on, we are dealing with a 17 month old and that meant nothing to him. So poor Kris and I had to keep the peanut busy in between times with dropping more eggs in. I think at one point we had around 12 eggs in at a time (this may explain why our colors were so vibrant).

Attempting to do things the right way :)

His poor little hands were just covered in dye!

As you can see from the picture above, his favorite part about the whole thing was pulling the eggs out to see what color they were going to be. The 3 of us had a blast but I have to admit Kris and I were exhausted once everything was said and done :)
