13 MoNtHs

I thought once Ryker turned a year things would slow down and I wouldn't feel as though he was growing up as fast, but boy was I WRONG! This last month has flown by and I can no longer refer to him as a 12 month old. Ryker is growing like crazy right now and is no longer a picky little eater. This little guys appetite has grown over the last few weeks and if it continue to grow at this rate I mine as well plant my self at the grocery store permanently. He has taken on his own little personality and is so much fun to be around. New words that he is now saying include, hi, please, bye, and hi dad, and for everything else that he really wants he uses his made of word of "gooda gooda". Ryker has been using "gooda gooda" for months now and gets very serious when it is not responded to :) He is babbling all the time (almost as though he is telling us all a very long story) and I am just waiting for him to start putting all that babble into words. He gets very excited now when I tell him that we are going to see someone he knows, or a name he recognizes. He has realized that he can climb up just about anything and he even attempt to get himself down safely. He still is taking 2 naps a day and has yet to show us that he can sleep through the night (very close though). His current weight is 21 pounds 13 ounces. He has 7 teeth (this is including 1 molar), with 3 more currently coming in. He loves anything with music (favorite thing on T.V. right now is the Sing Off), playing peak a boo, thinks being scared is hilarious and loves to be tickled. Ryker definitely has a mind of his own and I am learning that he is going to be very head strong (just like his dada of coarse), but 13 months has been so much fun for the 3 of us, and Kris and I love watching him grow into his own character.
