PaRk TiMe AnD FaLL FeStiVal

Last Saturday, Kris, Ryker and I headed to the town of Huntley with the Janisch's to let the kiddo's romp around at this amazing park (wish we had something like this a lot closer to home). To our surprise, the town of Huntley was hosting a fall festival right next to the park. There was a ton going on at the fall festival ( music, games, craft sale, PONY RIDES and a PETTING ZOO!). Layla and Ryker were 2 lucky kiddo's, park time plus fall festives equaled one fun Saturday afternoon!

Daddy and Ryker checking out the fire truck. This was no ordinary park fire truck, it was fully equipped with a siren and a bell that sounded like the real thing.

AND.....what would a park be without a good swing? This is one thing that has not changed since Ryker was a baby, he LOVES his swing time.

Just getting some driving time in! Yes, our little monkey is OBSESSED with getting his hands on any type of steering wheel (too funny!). Who needs driver's ed? With as much driving time as this little guy has already gotten in, he will be a pro driver by the time he reaches 16!

Dada and Ryker going down a big boy slide together.

Already getting some lesson's from dada on how to shoot some hoops.

As you can see from the picture above this park was well worth the drive! It was full of fun activities and I loved that the floor was made of recycled rubber :) Ryker is now running everywhere and with the recycled rubber flooring Kris and I could let him go without worrying that he would fall and hurt himself (big seller for me!).

Miss Layla and Ryker sharing some teeter totter time. These 2 are such good buddies and Miss Layla is wonderful with him and Ryker just adores her.

This park also had these adorable little stations set up like a little community for the kids. There was a food station, a little house and a store. Above is a picture of Ryker looking out the window of the house. Ryker loved to play peak a boo through all the windows.

Then it was off to the fall festival, and YES another petting zoo.

Ryker and dada feeding the sheep (as you can see from the picture above these sheep were VERY aggressive about the food).

And.....a picture of Ryker and dada feeding the sweet little pony in the petting zoo. After the petting zoo it was pony rides and craft sales and we finished the afternoon up with a great lunch and Buffalo Wild Wings.
