Ryker had his 2 month well visit on Monday January 11th. He did a great job letting the doctor perform a thorough exam allowing her to find a couple thing that need to be addressed. During her examination she found that Ryker had 2 small patches in the corner of his cheeks that she diagnosed as thrush, so he now is on a nystation solution that we have to do 4 times a day for 1 week, or until the thrush is gone. Dr. Cocjin also noted that Ryker has a slight herniated belly button, however she assures me that that this is something that he will grow out of as his abdominal muscles mature. Also, while Ryker was doing belly time for Dr. Cocjin, she noted that he has a favorite side that he likes to turn his neck to, and because of this we were encouraged to up our belly time for one month with hopes that he will improves this on his own otherwise we will have to start physical therapy. Then last but not least she was concerned with his weight gain. Ryker weighed in at 9 pounds 4 ounces and 22 inches long. At his 1 month well visit he was 8 pounds 6 ounces and 22 inches long so with in the last month he didn't gain weight as fast as he should of putting him into the 5th percentile for weight. However, we were well aware of this prior to his visit and have been working on it for the last 2 weeks with his fabulous Aunt Judy, allowing him to gain 1 whole pound in 2 weeks (with the help of some supplemental formula)! So all in all not that great of a follow up visit but all things that are fixable and we are still blessed with a health precious little boy. We have to follow up in 1 month for a weight and neck check up so I will keep you all posted on the updates!
