ChRiStmAs DaY 2011

Someone must have been a very good boy this year because Santa definitely made a stop at the Rissman house. As soon as Ryker woke up on Christmas morning he wasted no time coaching Kris and I to take him upstairs to see if Santa came. I felt like Kris and I where living vicariously through his excitement and eagerly ran upstairs with him to be pleasantly surprised by a bunch of gifts left underneath his Christmas tree from Santa.
Our little gift opening expert got right down to business ;)
Santa must have been watching us every night while we read books as a family (this is part of our routine, all 3 of us sit down and read books together, definitely one of my favorite parts of my day), because he brought Ryker a whole bunch of new ones ( I love Maggie in this picture....she was very curious as to what all the commotion was about).
Ryker's last gift had a letter from Santa attached to it asking him to check in the garage for one last final gift.....hmmm?!
Once Ryker opened the garage door and got a glimpse of that BLUE dirt bike with a big red bow on it he instantly started cheering and jumping up and down (nice job Santa!).
Thanks to the gorgeous weather we had on Christmas morning, Ryker and Dada were able to take his new bike for a little ride around the neighborhood.
Once we finished Christmas morning at our house we headed over to Grams and Papa Rissmans house where we met up with the Farr family and celebrated Christmas morning all over again. The boys were a riot to watch this year and I think I speak for everyone when I say our cheeks were hurting from smiling and laughing so much (just the way Christmas morning should be!). Above is a picture of Ryker opening up his new ipad (aka...Ryker's phone) that Grams and Papa Rissman got all 3 of us for Christmas.
Ryker and his really cool name puzzle he got from the Farr family.
Grams Rissman got the boys matching Christmas cups with a twirly straw for their "milk"! As you can see from the picture above they loved them :)
Just being silly!
MoNkEy SeE.....MoNkEy dO!
Love this picture!!!!
Ryker had only one thing on his mind the rest of the day and that was riding his dirt bike ;) Above is a picture of Ryker patiently waiting for Dada to get his dirt bike ready, and yes, it really was this nice out on Christmas morning.
If you thought I was a mother hen before you should have seen me on Christmas morning I was a nervous wreck (just didn't want to see a good/fun thing turn bad). However, Ryker surprisingly caught on very fast and followed direction from his Dada really well (I have a feeling he is going to be a gear head just like his Dada).
Above is a picture of Dada turning the governing down even more (thank god!). The faster the bike went the bigger the smile on his face would be (he is his father's son!).
Lesson #1 for the day our son has no fear :)
Once we got the governor down to a safe speed, Kris gave Ryker some one on one lessons (this lasted for several hours, we couldn't get him off the bike:)) Ryker listened so well and by the end of the morning he had the gas and break mastered.

I see a little boy in the picture above......what happened to my toddler :(

The racing didn't stop there!
Aunt Sue got the boys matching car rugs with steering wheels and they did a lot of practice driving around Gram Rissmans house :)
This is what Tiff and I get when we try to get the boys together for a picture:) Landon is doing every silly face possible to get Ryker to laugh in the picture above (love it). Don't they look so handsome though?!
And a picture of me and my little monkey at the end of the night! I was so bummed I didn't capture a family picture but my battery died right after this photo was taken :(

Thanks to everyone again for an amazing Christmas! We are one LUCKY family!!!!!
