Happy belated 4th of July!!!
A little late on the post, but better late than never:) This year for the 4th of July we spent our 4 day weekend split between grandparents! First stop on our Wisconsin tour, Grandpa and Grandma Rissman's cabin! As always our time at the cabin flew by with lots of entertainment provided by 2 special little monkeys (Ryker and Landon).
Saturday was gorgeous out so we spent most of our day down at the lake. As much of a little fish Ryker is, he surprising shocked Kris and I with being a little bit hesitant of the lake this year (I think he doesn't like that he can't see the bottom). It was a slow process to get him warmed up but we finally succeeded and above is a picture of Ryker and his dada taking in a dip in Dutch Hallow Lake.
Thank god for this golf cart! I think Ryker thinks we go up to Grandma and Grandpa Rissman's cabin JUST to ride the golf cart. From the second he gets out of the truck to the time we load him up to go, he is begging and pleading with everyone and anyone to take him for a ride. His favorite rides are at dusk with he tells Kris and I "shhhh, da deer"!
Maggie and Ryker have definitely developed a special bond over the past couple of months. He loves on her constantly and she has been more than patient with him. They have lots of cuddle time in the morning and Ryker gives her a kiss every night before he goes to bed (it's now been added into our night time routine). We are so LUCKY that Maggie adapted so well to our little peanut.
Ryker and his best bud Landon loading up their trucks! This entertains them for hours and starts first thing in the morning (when I say morning I mean as early as 6:45am). I have learned that when you have a boy there is no inside time, it's outside all the time and of coarse it has to be doing something dirty!
Kris and Uncle J taking the boys for a ride before we go downtown LaValle for the firework show.

Ryker sporting his red, white and blue downtown LaValle, waiting for the firework show to begin.
You wouldn't know by this picture, but believe it or not LaValle's firework show is AMAZING!!!!! Much better than anything Kris and I have ever seen in Illinois. Kris, being the great dad that he is remembered that last year Ryker didn't like the firework show because of how loud it was. Even though it was a year later this year, Kris thought to bring his ear protector's from work to put on Ryker if the noise bothered him again. Well, it only took the first firework to go off and Ryker instantly grabbed his ears and started to cry, so Kris put his ear protectors on the little peanut and he just sat back and watched the fireworks, while jamming out to music. The show is pretty long and after about a half hour, dada and Ryker both passed out.
Sunday Morning we left LaValle early in the morning and headed to Stoughton Wisconsin, where Grandma and Grandpa Urban where. As you can see from the picture above Ryker did much better with the lake water on day #2.
Having so much fun with his dada.
Watch out, crazy driver on board.
Ryker and Grandma Urban hanging out on the back of their boat. We docked the boat for a bit to let the dogs go for a swim and Ryker thought it was so funny to his dog "Maggie", in a life vest swimming around.
Maggie and Dunleigh neck and neck for the ball.
Hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July as much as we did!
