Kris and I would like to introduce Ryker Joseph Rissman, born on November 10th at 9:45 am weighing in at 7 pounds 4 ounces and 19 inches long. Ryker came a day earlier than we had planned for due to me having an elevated blood pressure at my last doctors appointment on November 9th. We were sent straight to the hospital following that appointment to be induced. The evening started off good with the cervidil being started at 5:00 pm and by 2:30 in the morning my water brook and yes I was begging for an epidural. By 7:00 am I was fully dilated to a 10 and to Kris's and my surprise I was ready to start pushing. This is when things started to get a little scary, Ryker decided that he didn't like it that much when I pushed and following every contraction he would decel into the 80's. After 2 hours of on and off pushing his heart rate was not coming back up as fast as they would of liked and we were rushed into an emergency C-Section. Kris was amazing throughout the entire thing (he was even able to watch the C-Section and cut the umbilical cord)! It was an amazing experience and I couldn't imagine going through it with anyone else.

This is a final pregnancy picture of me at 39 weeks and 5 days. We had just got the final news that we were definitely staying and getting induced that night (look how excited we were to finally meet this little guy)!

This is a picture of Kris getting his daddy ID band.

Our first glimpse at Ryker! Following this picture Kris left with Ryker to the nursery to get weighed and measured while they finished up with me. The next time the 3 of us would meet again would be after I was in recovery.

This is a picture of the proud daddy and Ryker in the nursery.

Ryker's official birth weight.

This is one of Kris's favorite pictures and has a lot of meaning behind it. Kris got to bring Ryker into the recovery room for me to meet for the first time. What an amazing experience, I guess everything happens for a reason, and I wouldn't have it any other way now.

Our first family photo (what a great looking family right?)!

Kris actually got to give me 2 presents while I was in recovery. The first being Ryker and the second being a pushing gift. Kris got me a locket with an "R" on it from Tiffany and Co.

Ryker's first bath at the hospital (looks like he's loving every minute of it!).

Look at that adorable tan little butt!

Just a cute little photo of Ryker.

This is one of my favorite picture of Ryker and daddy.
