Do I dare say it?!? Yes, Ryker is now half way to 2 years old and I can barley sputter those words out of my mouth! Our little monkey is growing up so fast, I wish there was some way we could put his little life on slow motion to allow Kris and I all the time we needed to enjoy every single phase this little guy is going through or has gone through. Each phase gets better and better but I still wish we had more time with each one, it seems that in a blink of an eye our little monkey has turned from a baby into a little boy! At Ryker's 18 month well check he was 23 pounds 6 ounces and 31 inches long. He is saying anywhere between 18-25 words and is starting to put 2 or more words together at a time. He is a jumping/hopping machine, this new trick is so much fun for him and he will hop across the room if you ask him 2 (wearing this adorable little grin on his face). He has become so independent, he can now go up and down stairs with supervision, feeds himself everything, showers with supervision and does really good at independent play (although he prefers group play). He is really into books, puzzles, coloring, painting (that is when I can get him inside), and loves being outside from the second he wakes up till it's time to go to bed. He is sleeping through the night about 4 out of 7 nights a week (8:30 pm-5:30 am), and still wakes up 2-3 nights a week around 3:30 am. He has 12 teeth with 4 more that have broken through but not quite all the way in yet. He still takes 1-2 naps a day and is so easy to put down now (he tells me every night around 8:30 that he is ready to got nighty night). He is still in swim lessons once a week, and we will be starting tumbling next Monday night. New found interest..............babies! A lot of my girlfriends are having babies and he is so good with them (and me holding them), he just smiles/giggles at them and point while asking me "this, this?!" Challenges that we still have to face.........Ryker still takes a bottle just a night time and our plan is to concur that here in the next couple of weeks (my doctor told me not to worry about it till Ryker was 2, so this bought him a couple more weeks :) and following that potty training is top priority on our list. I feel that Ryker is definitely getting ready to potty train, he has started telling me that he has to go right before he does so I want to attempt it before we miss our opportunity.

Well.......this pretty much sums up Ryker at 18 months, he is the happiest/silliest little boy that has stolen Kris's and my heart forever! Thank you Ryker for making your mama and dada the happiest parents around :)
