My girlfriend Kayte and I took the boys (Ryker and Mason) to the Dupage Children's Museum on Monday and it was a huge success! We thought we would get away with our little Valentines for the day and have some fun, and fun is what we had. What an amazing place to take children that stimulates curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in a hands-on, fun atmosphere (as you can tell I absolutely loved this place!). The boys had a great time and we left with them being very over stimulated (Ryker passed out before we even left the parking lot). The experience was so great that the Rissman family will now hold a membership so that we can go back and play as often as we would like. Once again I posted a ton of pictures but I wanted everyone to see some of the fun stuff this museum has to offer (AMAZING)!

Ryker on the phone listening about one of the art exhibits. This was geared towards the older kids but Ryker spotted that phone and had to make sure his dada wasn't on the other end of it.
Ryker enjoyed banging his mallet on everything in the music room. He loved listening to all the different sounds that the different items would make.
Ryker and his buddy Mason making music.

This may have been one of the favorites from the day. The museum had this huge light bright and the boys loved putting the lights into the slots.
Kayte and I may have enjoyed the light bright as much as the boys! We thought it only seemed fit to send a message to the boys on Valentines day.

Above is a picture from the shadow exhibit (how cute right?). Ryker was very confused by the little boy standing in front of him (too funny)!

One word............water!! Of coarse this was Ryker's favorite part of the museum. Once he spotted the water stations the rest of the museum was non existent in his world. I have to admit these were quite the water stations, filled with a ton of sensory objects.
The boys with their water smocks on (thank god for smocks).

Above is a picture of the one and only thing that diverted Ryker's attention from the water........driving!
The vacuum hose was suppost to be used to twirl the flowers at the back of the boat but Ryker used it to dry off his wet hair from the water tables (too cute).

Ryker looking down at everyone from the tunnel/covered bridge :)
Waving hi to everyone!

This was a station where you could play music by putting the end of a vacuum hose into the holes.

Just painting with shaving cream!

How many Ryker's do you see? Ryker was so funny when he would walk through this tunnel, he would wave at all the reflections of himself and say "hi"!
Ryker squeezed his way into the front seat of this little car just so that he could get his hands on one of those steering wheels (such a stinker).
We both had a great time and I couldn't think of a better way to spend the day with my little Valentine.
Soo cute!Looks like a lot of fun...can't wait til Jack is old enough!
