FaThEr'S DaY

Kris had quite an eventful 1st Father's Day. Our day started off heading to a race (Warrior Dash) that Kris and I signed up to run with a bunch of our closest friends. This race was a 3 mile run that was filled with about 11 obstacles. We had to rise in shine really early to be there by 9am for the start time of our race. As you can see from the picture above Ryker came to cheer Kris and I on and the little shirt he is wearing says, "Happy Father's Day Daddy" on the front, and then on the back it said, "I have the BEST daddy in the world"!
A picture of the back of Ryker's shirt.

Ryker snuggling with his daddy!

Another cute picture of my boys!

I did mention that the race was called the "Warrior Dash" right?

A picture of all of us pre-race.

We all pretty much stayed close during the race so we could enjoy each other's expression while completing this CRAZY yet CHALLENGING race. Kris and I ran side by side through out the whole race, and even though I had to push him a bit at the beginning to stay with me (did I mention he NEVER runs, and I try to run at least 3 times a week), he kept up just fine. However, when it came to an obstacle he always found that to be a bit easier than me, but never left my side! Kris stuck around at each obstacle to make sure I could complete it safely (what a great husband right!?)!
This is a picture of one of the many obstacles we had to complete before reaching the end of the race. As you can see from Kris's legs we were already a bit muddy but had no idea what the next obstacle was going to have in store for us!

Above is a picture of Kris, Ryan and me in our last obstacle. If you look really hard you can see that there are lines of barb wire above us, so we had to crawl our way to the finish line. Kris and I are a tad bit more muddy than everyone else in this picture because the hubs thought it would be fun to do a little mud wrestling before we met the finish line (thanks babe!)!

And.....a picture of the crew post race! We all had such a blast, and it was so nice to have the crew together to help the boys celebrate Father's Day! From here we were taken to a wash station where we were all sprayed off with fire hydrate water that was ICE COLD, and then bused back to our cars to head home for some more Father's Day FUN! Kris, Ryker and I headed to Grandma and Grandpa Urban's to meet up with a hung over Auntie Shar and Uncle Josh (they had a wedding the night before) for some homemade barbecue ribs (thanks mom, I was so HUNGRY)! All in all I think Kris had a great 1st Father's Day! Ryker and I love you so much babe!
