4 MoNtHs oLd

Ryker turned 4 months old on Wednesday March 10th. He is such a big boy now and once again has accomplished so many new skills. He is now rolling over from stomach to back, and talking and smiling all the time. He makes this grunting sound (Kris and I like to call it the BULL) to get our attention and squeaks when he is really happy (I think he has replaced the squeak for a giggle)! He is working on his CORE everyday and is almost able to sit up on his own. He loves his floor time and has grown to actually enjoy his belly time. He chooses to stand instead of sit (this would probably explain why he has very muscular legs), and has now started to enjoy his car seat (I thought I would never be able to say this!). Kris found a song that Ryker seems to love and as long as we play it OVER and OVER again while driving Ryker is a happy camper. And....... now for the name of that song that Kris and I can sing word for word...... White Lier by Miranda Lambert. Yes, apparently our little guy has a thing for country music already!
This is a picture of Ryker at his 4 month well visit getting ready for his monthly weigh in.

And......now for some statistics. Ryker is now 12 pounds 4 ounces and 24 inches long.

Dr. Cocjin was very proud of us for keeping Ryker healthy all winter long and informed us that we had gotten through the worst of it with a clean bill of health. She also informed us that Ryker can start rice cereal (I can hardly believe my little guys is big enough to eat food now)! Dr.Cocjin also instructed me at this well visit that it is time to get Ryker out of the swing for his naps and bedtime and into his crib. This is something that I have know for awhile that we should of been working on but had chosen to ignore that part of what the baby books had been telling me. So, this is our new project for us to accomplish and I will keep every posted on how well that goes for BOTH of us :)

Just another cute picture of Ryker at his doctor's appointment.
Oh, and I forgot to add that as you can see from the picture above Ryker is now holding his bottle for the most part all on his own!
